Hello, kalyāṇamitta!
My name is Leonid. I'm from Russia. Since childhood I have been interested in spiritual teachings. Became interested in Buddhism in 2000, with the advent of the Internet and the opportunity to study texts. Since 2001, practiced Zen, and in 2011 he moved to Theravada.
I study the Pali Canon and practice meditation. In 2012-2013 8 months lived in a monastery in Sri Lanka being anagarika. I am a supporter of the early texts of Nikaya and Vinaya.

All that is subject to arising is subject to termination, all formations are non-permanent. And that which is impermanent is suffering. Regarding what is impermanent and prone to suffering, one cannot say: "This is mine, I am this, this is my self".

Re: Hello!
Hello Leonid! I'd love to visit Russia some time. Drive across the length country, to Vladivostok slowly.
Maybe in my next life.

Welcome!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
