Sanghas near Chicago?
Sanghas near Chicago?
Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm looking for a sangha in the chicago area; some place I could easily get to, that perhaps offers teachings weekly or monthly at no cost, and with preferably some good connection to monastic traditions. I notice there are a number of zen places in the area, but I'd figure I'd ask around first.
All of us are bound by birth, aging, and death.

Re: Sanghas near Chicago?
The last i noticed they focus on the teachings of Bhikkhu Budddhadasa, which provides an alternate viewpoint on Dependent Origination thus doesn't teach the mainstream Buddhist view on 'rebirth'. In short, 'one-lifers'.

Speaking of Chicago, however, I recommend https://chicagobuddhistvihara.org/ .
