Greetings

Post by spiritual555 »

Hello,

My name is Jorden and I shall tell somethings about myself briefly (buddhist things :P); and then, if you can find it by searching my screen name, please have a look at a post i'm about to... post... about some questions if you have the time and spirit, I would be very appreciative. I'll name it "Wondering".

Thus far, I have been meditating on average 1hr a day, according to ‘insight timer’. I am studying Theravada Buddhism at this moment in time (a new University of Toronto course piece of a whole Buddhism Program – blessed to have found this ) which means I ALSO spend a lot of time reading (so far, we have covered Dependent Origination 12 links, 4 noble truths, 3 insights, 3 craving types, 2 existential problems etc.… in SOME detail). Also, when I was younger, I FELT like (around 18 years old), after 'STOPPING' at times in day to day life, that inherently some buddhist practice had surfaced. Has anyone else felt like this? Note: I have never been introduced to buddhism by that time!

Have a great day,

Jorden

p.s. I have attached some images of the books I have been reading since the course started a month and a half ago (and ends in a month). Have a look if it interests you.

Welcome!

:namaste:
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
