Dharma Seed Talks

Post by cooran » Wed Dec 02, 2009 8:34 am

Hello all,

I'm not sure if this link has been posted before, but there are hundreds of talks by Ordained Theravada Sangha members as well as by well-known Lay teachers around the world.
It is an easily searched site:

Dharmaseed

He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.

I did a retreat at IMS last summer and I really liked the talks by the 3 teachers who ran it. I was happy to see that after the retreat was over, I could download the talks from Dharmaseed and listen to them again. It really reinforced what was learned on the retreat.
