I apologize for putting an exlamantion point after Now. That was redundant.

And here I thought the answer was "42."

I really expected to see "42" written as the only answer. Logically, it's true.

Five hundred doors
and forty more
I believe to be in Valhall
Eight hundred heroes
emerge abreast from each
when they sally forth against the wolf.

Dang, I can't figure out whether the board has gone completely bonkers or if maybe I just missed my meds.

The Danish poet Piet Hein gave an excellent answer:

For livets mening
livet sørger
præcis saa længe
til vi spørger.

Ah the meaning of life. Well it doesn't have one. What has meaning? Symbols have meaning. Life is not a symbol, therefore it portends nothing, and has no meaning.

Purpose, is the question, not meaning.

Fiercely we were fighting!
Enemies fell for our swords.
Packs of wolves did assemble,
feeding on the dead bodies.
In the furious battles
shields and helmets were splintered.
Dead and wounded men
all around us were lying.

Fiercely we were fighting!
This is what I enjoy:
Draw the sword for combat,
meet the foe face to face.
This is the life of a real man:
neither give quarter nor flee!
Fearless friend of women
stands in the middle of the battle.

Fiercely we were fighting!
Now it is good to know
that the tables are ready
in the halls of Valhall.
There, with Odin the highest,
we shall be served beer
in deep drinking horns.
I’m not afraid to die.

I’m ready to leave this place.
Fairies have brought a message
calling me to come home,
home to Odin, the greatest.
There I’ll sit on the throne
and drink beer with the gods.
Life will soon be over,
I’ll die with a smile on my face.

i think the question is probably almost certainly either "when is the best time for a nap?" or "when is the best time for tea and cookies?"
