If you think your life is hard

Post by Jechbi »

This family is inspiring.
We were told many times, 'Just let him die; he's not worth saving.'
Rain soddens what is kept wrapped up,
But never soddens what is open;
Uncover, then, what is concealed,
Lest it be soddened by the rain.

I always liked the line, "Your life is so difficult that it has never been tried before."

Some people's lives are definitely way harder then most of ours. Its good to keep that in perspective...

[Mod note: The youtube link was turned to a plain url link. I think we need to be cognizant of others' sensibilities with these sorts of things. Also, a warning of what the link links to might not be a bad idea. - tb]
"As Buddhists, we should aim to develop relationships that are not predominated by grasping and clinging. Our relationships should be characterised by the brahmaviharas of metta (loving kindness), mudita (sympathetic joy), karuna (compassion), and upekkha (equanimity)."

People that say that have no heart, which is a great shame. Who said that. If they knew the reality of existence they wouldn't say that.

What statement are you referring to?

Most probably: We were told many times, 'Just let him die; he's not worth saving.'

I'm guessing.
