my big mouth

Post by genkaku » Sun Aug 30, 2009 1:03 pm

Someone posted this over at Zen Forum International and ascribed it to someone called I-tuan whom I can't seem to look up. No matter who said or wrote the words, they certainly made me smile this morning:

Talking is blasphemy,
Silence is delusion.
Beyond talking and silence
there's a way upwards -
but my mouth isn't big enough
to point it out.

Me and my big mouth! :)

That's what ears are for.
Rain soddens what is kept wrapped up,
But never soddens what is open;
Uncover, then, what is concealed,
Lest it be soddened by the rain.

Even with yours wide open, I bet you could comfortably sit in mine. :jawdrop:

I am sooooo happy - How on earth could I be otherwise?! :D" onclick=";return false;
