Round like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending on beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain
Or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning
Running rings around the moon

Was it something that I said?

Pictures hanging in a hallway
Or the fragment of a song
Half-remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
Were you suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the color of her hair?

My niece had a singer at her wedding and this is one of the songs was sung. It brought tears to my eyes. I thought of Ron (those that remember me from e-Sangha days may remember that story) and how I wish he could hear the words.
"Say you need me with you now and always..." Say you need me with you here beside you." "Say you love me." Any of those words would have made all the difference in the world.
Then, my niece walked down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon, which played at the end of my marriage ceremony. I have been listening to the many versions out there of this song!
