Sources for the story of Yasa

Post by Vakkali »

Hey everyone!

I found the story of Yasa in an online version of the Mahavagga. Is this the ONLY source for his story in the Canon? Is there a version in the sutta pitaka somewhere? Thanks in advance, everybody!

I don't think you will find much more about Yasa. The Theragātha and its Commentary would be one place to look.

Some things are found in the Vinaya. A lot of the early history of Buddha's Dispensation is found in the Vinaya.
