What music are you listening to right now?

Higher than sojourning in heavens supreme,
Higher than empire over all the worlds,

Too soon has the Voice of the World vanished from sight! Too soon...Too soon

Too wonderful to fit a description in words.
"He turns his mind away from those phenomena and, having done so, inclines his mind to the property of deathlessness: 'This is peace, this is exquisite — the resolution of all fabrications; the relinquishment of all acquisitions; the ending of craving; dispassion; cessation; Unbinding.' On a plane from London to Winnepeg I read, to my horror, the May 18, 1970 Time cover story about the shootings at Kent State that happened while I was in London. I had been in Britian for a month to visit with Buddhists, there being to none to visit with in northern Minnesota. It was a wonderful trip in terms of who I got to meet and all, but I was totally out of touch with the news during that time. Had I known about Kent State while I was there I might not have come back. It is interesting after all these years how evocative the memories of that time still are.

It's too short, though.
If you want to explore further in this direction, Modus.Ponens (or MIke, for that matter), you could try to track down
John Luther Adams: The place we began Cold Blue Music CB0032
This is not the John Adams of Nixon in China fame, though they have a lot in common.

I think it's the ideal lenght. I have a short atention span, so even if I'm loving a piece, I eventualy start asking: when is it going to end?

"If beings knew, as I know, the results of giving & sharing, they would not eat without having given, nor would the stain of miserliness overcome their minds. Even if it were their last bite, their last mouthful, they would not eat without having shared."

Mozart - Concerto for Flute and Orchestra G-dur K 313 (285C)
Emmanuel Pahud
Haydn Ensemble Berlin.
"An important term for meditative absorption is samadhi. We often translate that as concentration, but that can suggest a certain stiffness. Perhaps unification is a better rendition, as samadhi means to bring together. Deep samadhi isn't at all stiff. It's a process of letting go of other things and coming to a unified experience." - Bhikkhu Anālayo

If you didn't care
What happened to me
And I didn't care for you
We would zig-zag our way
Through the boredom and pain
Occasionally glancing up through the rain
Wondering which of the
Buggers to blame
And watching for pigs on the wing
