Ahn nyeong ha sae yo from Korea

Post by lsf20 »

Hello everyone! :namaste:

I'm new to the forum and to Buddhism. I was born and raised in New York and am of Korean descent. I am currently residing in Korea. I'm looking forward to all the information on this forum :reading:

I majored in International Business and Business Economics in college and was always a finance fanatic but things have really turned around for me. I'm actually looking to attend a Buddhist university and major in Buddhism and Social Work. If anyone has some tips, pointers or advice it would be very appreciated as I don't know where to start :thanks:

I don't know if I'll be posting much for now since there's so much to read on here, but hopefully I can be of help down the road

Welcome! I've been a Son Buddhism practitioner for a decade or so now, but Theravada and the Pali Canon are cool and there are many lovely people here on the forum.

All the best in your studies and new beginnings!

By the way, I love Korean Buddhist art.
There isn't a color in the rainbow that's not used and it's so compact, like they try to squeeze everyone into one space

Welcome! I, to, am an admire of Korean Buddhist practice and aesthetics!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! :thanks:

Thank you for the heads up on the IBC! I am reading up on it now.

I agree that Korean Buddhist art is pretty spectacular :) I hope to see Buddhist art from other countries and cultures as well! Hopefully soon!
