Hello! Hello! Hello!

Post by charlotte »

Hello, my name's Charlotte and I live in Australia.
I’ve been taking Buddhist classes and courses based on the New Kadampa Tradition for a while now. I know a lot of people have bad things to say about them, but it’s basically given me a new perspective on life, and as far as I can see they're good people.
I was a Christian for fourteen years and learnt more about self-improvement in the first few hours of studying buddhism than I even learnt in all those years, so I'm keen to continue!
I’m hoping to get to get to know some people and learn much more about Buddhist teachings!

welcome aboard!
Blog, Suttas, Aj Chah, Facebook.

He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.
