The Knowledge of Equanimity About Formations is a deep stage of insight, which is not far from the Path Knowledge. I think we cannot really appreciate what equanimity is until we can reach at least that stage of insight.
We may thing that we are being equanimous, when in fact we're just being indifferent, or suppressing our emotions.
