100 day supported online Meditation Challenge

Post by cooran »

Hello all,

For those without a lay sangha or meditation teacher, this challenge by Wildmind might be a reasonable alternative. Started January 1st, but you can start anytime.:

Hit the ground sitting! Day 1 of our 100 Day Meditation Challenge

I'm game.
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

I'm following the posts at wildmind, and doing the challenge, but I'm slightly discouraged to see the facilitator Bodhipaksa Dharmacari drinks alcohol, and says that the sensation of some parts of the body expanding in size during meditation is an early sign of the Formless Jhanas. hmmm...

I continue to find the challenge useful and interesting, but I sure wouldn't follow the guy as a teacher.
