sutta about sqinting?

Post by phalanyani »

Somebody told me the following: If you come to a city where everybody is sqinting, sqint as well, saying it is the Buddhas teaching, but could not give any proof.
I would be very interested in knowing if this really has been said by the Buddha and under which circumstances, referring to what kind of situation. Is it in the Sutta pitaka?
May be someone of you all knows ...
with greetings

I've never heard that...
but it strikes me as a Zen saying.

That's why I doubt it's Buddha word. It's not in line with the Dhamma as far as my limited Dhamma-knowledge lets me guess.
