at the moment I have one tattoo which is off a Flame.
I plan on getting more but so far I decided they
will be of the other elements including Void.
would that cause a Issue?
Welcome to DW, Inkredible.
This is an old thread but if you read it from the beginning I think you will find your answer.

no, but there are 6elements in Theravada the great 4, consciousness and space.

the only time tattoos are an issue is if they are brandings as a punishment of law.
Blog, Suttas, Aj Chah, Facebook.

He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.

Hi Inkredible,

Welcome to Dhammawheel,I think training the mind has got nothing to do with whether one has a tattoo or not. :anjali:

I've heard of Westerners covering over small tattoos on their exposed arm during ordination with a large pink sticky plaster
