8-fold path in mp3's

Post by sattva »

Hi Everyone!

First of all, i was wondering in what all sutras/suttas Buddha gave descriptions of the 8-fold path, especially in detail, and if any of these are available in mp3's? As some of you know, i have rather poor vision and it would be easier for me to listen to these than to read them. Thanks!

Hi Sattva,

There are some good sutta readings here:
http://www.suttareadings.net/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Sutta study classes at BSWA generally involve the teacher reading most of the sutta:
http://www.bswa.org/audio/podcast/SuttaStudy.rss.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Bhikkhu Bodhi's talks on the
Majjhima Nikaya: http://www.bodhimonastery.net/bm/about- ... ikaya.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and
Sutta Nipata: http://www.bodhimonastery.net/courses/Sn/Sn_course.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
are excellent, but he doesn't really read the Suttas.

The Sutta talks by Bhante Vimalaramsi here: http://www.dhammasukha.org/Study/recent.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; all have him reading most of the Sutta.

Woah! Thanks for that Sutta Readings link, Mike. That's an awesome site! I've got a few mp3s from Dhamma Downloads and discussions are nice, but it's also nice to have the Suttas themselves for my Creative ZEN.

I haven't listened to it yet, but one of those talks is on the "Great Forty" discourse (MN 117) which I like as a discussion of how the path factors relate to each other. It might be good.

It is, I listened to it recently. Bhikkhu Bodhi does three talks on that Sutta in his series...

The talk on MN9 - Right View - is also good. And MN27, and ....
