Why Kammavipaka could not be think of?

Post by yamaka »

Dear all,

In the Anguttara Nikaya->Book of 4>77(Acinteyya Sutta)

Buddha stated there are 4 kinds of things could not be think of, which 4?

1.Buddha's attainment,
2.Jhanas
3.Action & result,
4.The world

I am more interested the kammavipaka(action and result) could not be analyzed or think of, more reading on the commentaries for the sutta:

Kammavipākoti diṭṭhadhammavedanīyādīnaṃ kammānaṃ vipāko.

Can anyone help to clarify more on this sentences?

now there is seeing (vipaka) and a visible object.
Do you know the kamma that caused this particular vipaka to arise at exactly this time?

Probably not as that is the domain on Buddhas.

The translation appears to be:

"The [precise working out of the] results of kamma...
