So I think its worthwhile for us to ask each other "Are you OK?" and provide a protected space where members can answer honestly.R U OK? is an independent, not-for-profit organisation whose purpose is to provide national focus and leadership for ending suicide in Australia by empowering people to make a difference, encouraging open and honest communication and driving real connection. Our vision is for a society that can openly discuss suicide, and that has taken responsibility for maintaining the connections that prevent it.
Our four priorities are
Connecting people to stop little problems turning into big ones
Supporting sector partners at the coalface of suicide prevention
De-stigmatising conversations about suicide
Developing tailored national programs to promote R U OK? and encourage participation
You may also wish to ask those near and dear to you, "Are you OK?"
