How do animals achieve enlightenment?

Post by Goanna = Element »

How do animals achieve enlightenment, or at least achieve rebirth as a human, since they cannot meditate or understand Buddhism? Is there something we can do to help our pets have a better rebirth?

loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
