Moderator note on the passing of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej

Post by retrofuturist »

Greetings,

Please note that with the passing of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej, we have split the single existing News topic on his death into two separate topics.

There is now a Shrine Room discussion, to mark his passing, to wish him a favourable rebirth and to reflect upon the merits of his long legacy.

There remains a News, Current Events & Politics discussion to discuss the pragmatic implications of his death for Thailand, and to consider what may happen as a result of upcoming leadership and political transitions.

Being cognizant of these two discrete topics, please comment in whichever one is most appropriate. Posts may be moved from one to the other topic without notice by moderators, if a certain post would be better located in the other topic.

Thank you.

Metta,
Paul. :)
