When you preview a post or when you edit a post, html gibberish comes up. Until we get it fixed here is the way around it:

do one or more of the following:

1. Don't preview you post when you are putting in links.
2. Don't edit your post when you are putting in links.
3. Use the URL code to put your links in the post:

Dhamma article on Dhamma Wiki

Code: Select all

Dhamma article on Dhamma Wiki

Actually, even just quoting a post with a URL generates the code. I think it's meant so that clicking on it opens the page in a new window/tab. Is there a setting to disable this (now) broken feature?

Putting any url link inside the URL code braces will prevent it.

'URL=' for having different hypertext, or just use 'URL' for the http address to show up as hypertext.

Code: Select all

http stuff
http://www.dhammawheel.com

example

If the OP being quoted has done this, there will be no problem. If the OP has not done this, one will have to add this code oneself to prevent it.
  • "And how is it, bhikkhus, that by protecting oneself one protects others? By the pursuit, development, and cultivation of the four establishments of mindfulness. It is in such a way that by protecting oneself one protects others.

"And how is it, bhikkhus, that by protecting others one protects oneself? By patience, harmlessness, goodwill, and sympathy. It is in such a way that by protecting others one protects oneself.

Thus.

I get that. The admin can send a message to every subscriber on this.

But since almost everyone aren't using this workaround in reality, I'm wondering if this is a forum software feature that can be temporarily disabled, until a new version with the bug fixed is installed.
