Which Buddhist nuclear war strategy will we deploy?

Post by DooDoot » Sat Mar 03, 2018 12:53 am

Well, it seems the US-Alliance dogs of war (against Syria & Iran) have resulted in the neighbor's dog also barking; at the delight of the dog's owners. The audience in the video appears to delight in the speech; which sounds like pre-WW1 alliance system speech. Are all these people crazy? What is a Buddhist to do if worse did actually come to worse?

I have been wanting to buy this book earlier: https://www.amazon.com/After-Ashes-Surv ... 1511609222

I ordered it a few months ago but didn't get it, because I didn't yet have my name outside on the mailbox on time. Maybe I should try again. The author apparently enjoys playing Fallout 4, so I assume he might have some helpful and experienced tips on how to get the most fun out of a post-nuclear apocalypse scenario. :juggling:

But I think for a more dhammic (and less entertaining) perspective, this sutta might be informative.

One of the things which bothers me most about world political leaders right now is they are morally bankrupt. They have no moral compass. That's especially bad when you consider the existence of nuclear weapons and the light in which they are treated by politicians. The fact these kinds of weapons exist at all speaks volumes about the way human society is going.

I think we have to use the old strategy.
The president of America should marry a daughter or son of the Russia and vice versa.

Finally get serious about their Buddhist practice.
