There is not a Buddhist sanga, only individual Buddhists.
The Buddhist Sangha is as good as the individual Buddhist.
Good for doing what?
Good for being what?
Good in what way?
Good for doing what? Doing whatever you think good
Good for being what? Being whatever you think good.
Good in what way? Good in whatever you think good

Ask a twitter length question about a twitter length statement, get a twitter answer.
Grateful that the Buddha wasn't limited to twitter.
FYI: There is a synergy. Sanga's can do more good and different kinds of good than the sum total of it's individual members.
There also is negative "group think" and it's opposite -- much depending on the composition of the group as well as it's values and processes of group interaction.
Asking clarifying questions or questions to draw someone out further are generally good processes for what is called active listening. This is perhaps something that "everybody knows" but less commonly practiced.
