Upon the authority of the President it's a done deal.

I own 2 S-corps and had been under the impression those would not benefit from this bill, but now apparently I am learning it does give cuts to them. Will it make me hire more people? maybe indirectly, but not directly. But that's typical of trickle down economics for you.

Correct, I believe like an LLC, that qualifies as a pass-through business entity and then you get that special rate for pass-through entities of 25% which depending on how successful your businesses are, could be a substantial tax cut.

Not so sure, if Bannon runs.

What you will do with it is to donate it to those activities which you want the government to support, but which it is less likely to do because of its declining income.

Won't you?

If Trump is alive and kicking, and willing and able to run again, then there is absolutely no reason for Steve Bannon to run.

Charles Barkley "thanks" Pres. Trump for the tax cut for him and the other one-percenters and says he's going to buy another Rolex.

Funny that there was a debate about which country I live in. Didn't think it was arrogant to assume that a major tax cut in the world's largest economy would be so difficult to understand.
Or maybe I missed something? Did Belgium pass a new law?

Friends, just to make it clear---I live in Miramar Beach, Florida. That is the Florida that is in the U.S.

And now to be nice I will put up a pretty beach pic in another thread. To make you happy.

In my travels, I've had the opportunity to live in what may be the the two most opposite countries in the world--Norway, and the Philippines.
Norway is very expensive, with high taxes, and an excellent quality of life. Phils, not so much. It's cheap, no taxes, and polluted.
I'm sure other members have experienced what it is like to go to a place where there are no government services. Like India, perhaps. India is a mess. Amazing place to visit, no doubt, but a mess.
So, I'd rather pay higher taxes to a responsible government and get a higher quality of life. See no reason for the ultra-wealthy to have more money, or Corporations to get a break.
Because, as I said in the top of the post, If I get a tax break, I will not hire more people, or give them more money.
The entire purpose of a responsible government is to make sure money is distributed evenly enough throughout society, and that quality of life and civic participation is high. This is how you build a good country.

Just an interesting idea that's floating around the Net.

This tax cut for the super wealthy is the perfect thing to run against.
He sees it as a win. I see it as a gift for Democrats. We will use this against him. And it is such an easy argument to make.

You're comparing 82.000$ pib per capita country with 3000$ and thinking that the difference is due to the taxes. No comment.

But, there are wealthy people in both countries, right?
Difference is that there is better government in one country, and almost no government in the other. Best government spreads out the wealth,
Right?
