Buddhist forum about the Dhamma of Theravāda Buddhism
My dear fellow Buddhists. Please, may we practice the Dhamma and not promote the views of war-mongers who directly lead to mass killing. In SN 55.7, the Buddha not only preached non-killing but also to speak in praise of non-killing.Kusala wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 7:49 amhttps://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/1149 ... e-solution
Gatestone Institute, a non-partisan , not-for-profit international policy council and think tank is dedicated to educating the public about what the mainstream media fails to report in promoting:
Institutions of Democracy and the Rule of Law;
A free and strong economy
A military capable of ensuring peace at home and in the free world
Ensuring the public stay informed of threats to our individual liberty, sovereignty and free speech.
Ambassador John R. Bolton, Chairman
Bolton has been labeled as a neoconservative, though he personally rejects the term. He has been a prominent participant in several neoconservative groups, like the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), and the Committee for Peace and Security in the Gulf (CPSG).
Following perceived Iraqi unwillingness to co-operate with UN weapons inspections, core members of the PNAC including Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz, R. James Woolsey, Elliot Abrams, Donald Rumsfeld, Robert Zoellick, and John Bolton were among the signatories of an open letter initiated by the PNAC to President Bill Clinton calling for the removal of Saddam Hussein.
In January 1999, the PNAC circulated a memo that criticized the December 1998 bombing of Iraq in Operation Desert Fox as ineffective. The memo questioned the viability of Iraqi democratic opposition, which the U.S. was supporting through the Iraq Liberation Act, and referred to any "containment" policy as an illusion.
Shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks, the PNAC sent a letter to President George W. Bush, advocating "a determined effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq", or regime change. The letter suggested that "any strategy aiming at the eradication of terrorism and its sponsors must include a determined effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq," even if no evidence surfaced linking Iraq to the September 11 attacks. The letter warned that allowing Hussein to remain in power would be "an early and perhaps decisive surrender in the war on international terrorism." From 2001 through the invasion of Iraq, the PNAC and many of its members voiced active support for military action against Iraq, and asserted leaving Saddam Hussein in power would be "surrender to terrorism."

Official estimates of Iraq War casualties range from 110,000 to 460,000. Other estimates, such as the 2006 Lancet study, and the 2007 Opinion Research Business survey, put the numbers as high as 650,000 and 1.2 million respectively.

2. Learning a 2nd language at school is desirable.A poll conducted this summer found that 29% of French Muslims found Sharia to be more important to them than French laws.
3. A 2016 UK poll showed that 43% of British Muslims "believed that parts of the Islamic legal system should replace British law while only 22 per cent opposed the idea". Another poll from 2016 found that 23% of all Muslims supported the introduction of sharia law in some areas of Britain. I watched this British video about Jewish Divorce Law in the West today and found it very interesting:It also found that 67% of Muslims want their children to study Arabic, and 56% think it should be taught in public schools.
5. 52% of all British Muslims believe that homosexuality should be illegal. Similarly, I image the majority of religious Christians & orthodox religious Jews believe homosexuality should be illegal. The death penalty for homosexuality is found in the Jewish Bible.39% agreed that "wives should always obey their husbands,"
Jerusalem’s chief rabbi lashed out at Israel’s gay community in an interview released Friday, calling homosexuality an “abomination” and earning himself a police complaint for incitement.
Shlomo Amar, who previously served as the country’s Sephardi chief rabbi, told Israel Hayom newspaper that homosexuality is an “abomination,” and that Jewish law advocates the death penalty for those who choose to engage in same sex relationships.

What I find ironic about the article is it appears written by a Jew & published by an organisation that appears founded by a Jew.
Why I find the article ironic is because:Judith Bergman is a writer and a political analyst. She holds degrees in International Relations (The London School of Economics and Political Science) and law. She lives in Israel.
The Islamic situation or demographic in Europe, which will increase over the coming decades, was created by Western governments. While the Nazis non-violently encouraged Jewish emigration from Germany in the 1930s (until the unexpectedly losing of the war with the Communist Soviets resulted in the "Holocaust"), the only solution I discern these articles & this thread promoting is a Nazi-like-Holocaust-style Final Solution.Perhaps many elites feel guilty after French State actively collaborated with Nazis, especially against Jews, during World War II, so that now they are trying, instead, to help Muslims -- whose culture and goals could hardly be farther from that of the Jews . Nevertheless, many seem to think of Muslims as "the Jews" of 21st century.
