Dear sir,
Some of these links contain sources that are controversial. These controversies have been publicly discussed recently at the public event held recently at the Ruawanweli Maha Stupa in Anuradhapura, which was broadcast on the Buddhist Channel and Sirasa TV on Saturday 12th of May. These controversial sources are:
Nirapekshathvaye maga
Waharaka
ධර්මයයි ඔබයි
These are the ones I am familiar with. These sources have been show to deviate from the Therawada tradition by the venerable Sangha who gathered on that day.
Best regards and metta

There are many resources that point out this problem. Here are some.

I have posted a rebuttal to these videos on page 10 of the discussion forum: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=26749&start=135

This is what I stated:
@hsandeepani:
I did not see any discussion at all in your first video on the teachings of Waharaka Thero (Ven. Abhayaratanalankara).

In the second short video, most of the criticism is not on actual teachings, but just verbal abuse. Again there is no discussion on any teachings of Waharaka Thero. I cannot defend teachings by any other person who is perceived to be a disciple of Waharaka Thero. In this particular case, Waharaka Thero has specifically said that other bhikkhu’s interpretations may not be correct in some cases.

I also provided a point-by-point response there to another similar video criticizing Waharaka interpretations.

By the way, please inform these bhikkhus that the phrase "Vibhajjavādi" is actually a good thing, even though it is used in a derogatory way in these videos. The Buddha stated in the https://legacy.suttacentral.net/pi/mn99that he was a vibhajjavadi. At close to the top, the sutta says: "“Vibhajjavādo kho ahamettha, māṇava; nāhamettha ekaṃsavādo...".
Sinhala Translation at that site: "“මානවකය, මම මේ කරුණෙහිදී විභජ්ජවාදියෙක් (කරුණු බෙදා කියන්නෙක්) වෙමි. මම එක් පැත්තක් බලා කියන්නෙක් නොවෙමි.".

@Lal
Agree.
But these criticisms are about his disciple Walassmulle Abhaya Thero.
What do you think about his teaching?
Doesn't his teaching represent Ven Abhayaratnalankara?

The videos do not name either one of them, as I remember. But it is clear who they are talking about.
Ven. Abhaya was a student of Waharaka Thero. So, they teach basically the same.

But it is clear who they are talking about.
Then why do you try to deny that by playing with words?
Are you trying to protect your wrong views?
Why do you want to protect Ven. Abhaya or to the matter of fact the Tipitaka?
Our goal is to understand the true teaching of Buddha but not to protect Tipitaka or another monk who misinterpreted Tipitaka.
I am not saying that all the teaching of Ven Abayaratnalankara or his students are wrong.
What I am saying is they misinterpret the most important teaching of Buddha. (ie Anicca, Dukkha and Anatta)

@SarathW
"Why do you want to protect Ven. Abhaya or to the matter of fact the Tipitaka."

I do not understand your question. Instead of making accusations, you need to show what is wrong with someone's interpretations. It is possible that I may not agree with an explanation of Ven.Abhaya. I have listened to only a few of his desanas. All I said was that he was a student of Waharaka Thero, and is likely to present Waharaka interpretations.

But I have listened to many, many desanas of Waharaka Thero and have not found a single case of inconsistency.
I would welcome anyone to present evidence of a problem with his interpretation of the Tipitaka, and happy to discuss. Please do not make grand statements. Just provide evidence.

Tipitaka does not belong to anyone. Whoever can interpret it correctly can reap the benefits. If you don't agree with Waharaka interpretations, that is fine with me. I am not trying "convert' anyone. I will help out with any questions anyone has for me.

As I explained in previous posts in response to those videos, NO ONE has presented ANY evidence to contrary. Just verbal abuse. Not very Buddhist!

Yes thank you for letting me know. Just to repeat, the controversial sources are

Nirapekshathvaye maga
Waharaka
ධර්මයයි ඔබයි

I am aware of the teachings of Nirapekshathvaye maga, I find content to extremely misleading and dangerous. Unfortunately I cant edit out these three.

But thanks for letting me know.

Could you list a few those “extremely misleading and dangerous” content from Nirapekshathvaye maga?

I DO KNOW that there is nothing “extremely misleading and dangerous” at the Waharaka site for sure.

Let us see what those “extremely misleading and dangerous” teachings are.

I have also been advised by many people that the Nirapekshathvaye maga are very misleading as well. Although I have not listened to any of the dhamma talks from there because I don't want to get and false information in my head.:shrug: But apparently the dhamma taught there isn't from the suttas taught by the Buddha. But What do I know
