Hi Kaylee_S,

German speakers are presumably blessed by a wealth of material by Nyanatiloka Mahathera (1878-1957), the first Western Theravada Bhikkhu, translated directly from Pali to German. His student Nyanaponika Thera (1901-1994) was also from Germany.

Of course, I can only read his work in English, but presumably some German versions have by now found their way onto the Internet.

Thank you, I hadn't heard of them before, probably because I prefer to read the English literature.

Here is Nyanatiloka Mahathera's "Buddhist Dictionary", available as a PDF:
http://www.wat-lao.org/Bibliothek/index ... thera.html

And a website where one can download lots of different dhamma books in German:
http://www.dhamma-dana.de/
and here:

Found 2 chinese Theravada sites. They seem quite extensive but unfortunately, I don't read the language.

My site "Dhamma-biblioteket" ("The Dhamma Library") with my translations from the Pali texts (and some Sanskrit texts) into Norwegian, is moving to a new web site:

http://dhamma.priv.no/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The old site will remain open for a while, before it is closed.

This old forum closed a year and a half ago. Old posts can be read, but no new posting.

We have a new forum well under way:
