Re: whoops
I never do it on the actual day. I often do it on Sunday, because that fits with my work life.Dhammarakkhito wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:13 pm forgot to observe uposatha today; since it was last tuesday i did not think it would be monday. good enough if i keep it tomorrow? :/

ye dhammā hetuppabhavā tesaṁ hetuṁ tathāgato āha,
tesaṃca yo nirodho - evaṁvādī mahāsamaṇo.
Of those phenomena which arise from causes:
Those causes have been taught by the Tathāgata,
And their cessation too - thus proclaims the Great Ascetic.

What timezone are you in? According to Wat Metta and Abhayagiri's calendar today's the day.

Re: whoops
I was tempted to write something like that to also [sarcastically] show that which day it is doesn't matter, imo. If you're a householder and you can do one day a week, that is very good. If you can do 2 or more per week, even better, but it doesn't matter which days they are.Grigoris wrote: ↑Tue May 22, 2018 8:07 amNo. You will burn in hell forever for your mistake!Dhammarakkhito wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:13 pm forgot to observe uposatha today; since it was last tuesday i did not think it would be monday. good enough if i keep it tomorrow? :/
