Parents' permission

Post by D1W1 »

Hi all,

One quick question.

If one has sexual intercourse with those under the protection of parents and the parents do not give the permission for sexual relationship, then this is breaking the third precept.

But what if one has sexual intercourse with those who are no longer under the protection of parents but the parents do not give the permission for the sexual relationship, does this break the third precept?

Thanks in advance :anjali:

I would think No. To put the situation into perspective, consider if you have sexual relations with a 50 year old woman and the 75 year old parents disapprove and do not consent. Are the parents consent even relevant?
