It's all thinking, pure and simple.

person who is fasting, starves to death, because of thinking doesn't eat.
person who doesn't have food to eat, starves to death, he thinks about eating but there is no food to eat.
person who think about eating food, there is food, but can't reach it, starves to death.

you still need figure out what is wrong with your thinking and how to use it properly to find a correct way, without taking what is not given or what is others. Its not simple, you will have not so pleasant calamities if you follow some kind of discipline.
