So, all I have to do is meditate for at least 30 minutes a day, focusing on the breath, coming back to the breath, always coming back to the breath, and my life will see change?

The 'scales' will drop from the eyes so to speak, I'll become more attuned spiritually, I'll lose all fear and negativity? I'll awaken? Simp,y through focus meditation?

The Buddha taught liberation by an Eight-Fold Path:
right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood; right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration.

Would that it were so easy. The Lord Buddha taught us to develop both sila (virtue) and panna (wisdom) along with samadhi (meditation). Just focusing on the one is not likely to bring great results. May you always meet with success! Be well.

A sapling does not immedietly become a great Bodhi tree, it's a gradual process. But with every passing day, week and year that sapling grows just a little bit higher. So long as conditions persist, it will one day become that great Bodhi tree.

Good for us to see the beauty of the sapling though, and not wish too hard for it to be different from what it is right now. The present is all we've got, after all.
