This posture is good enough to stay healthy and fit. When we sit on the floor our body posture is automatically corrected with our back straight, expanding our spine and pushing our shoulders back, beating all the frequent pain and aches that are caused due to bad posture.

That's just not automatically true. Take someone who is not used to sitting cross-legged or to squatting and have them sit that way or squat -- they end up tense and even with injuries.
When we sit on the floor our body posture is automatically corrected with our back straight, expanding our spine and pushing our shoulders back
When I sit cross-legged, my first impulse is to slouch and to contort my body. No sign of my body posture being "automatically corrected".



The articles linked to in the OP seem to have more to do with Asian (Indian) cultural supremacism than with anything else.

I started to research about sitting on the floor because whenever I listen to the lecture lying in bed I end up falling asleep or sleeping.

And also I still think of being a bhikkhu and it is good practice to be listening to a lecture sitting on the floor.

And it was a surprise to me to know that this is much healthier.

When I used to go to meditation classes, the teachers told people that it was fine to sit in a straight-backed chair to meditate if they had physical problems.
