Visa in Thailand as a monk

Post by Seaker »

Hello,

Does anyone knows what is the visa situation for those already ordained who wouldike to go and stay in Thailand for some time ?

And are there any suggestion of (rather small) monasteries whith as few rituals, chantings, etc, as possible, but perhaps with experienced bhikkhus around ? And any idea if survival on vegetarian food is possible ?

Thanks for any information !

With metta,

If you find a temple to stay in, which isn't difficult, the residing monks there will assist you getting the proper paperwork to obtain a one year visa...make sure to enter Thailand on a non-immigrant visa...
