Who should become a monk ?
A person who wants to be enlightened.

Who should become a monk ?
You !
If you didn't care
What happened to me
And I didn't care for you
We would zig-zag our way
Through the boredom and pain
Occasionally glancing up through the rain
Wondering which of the
Buggers to blame
And watching for pigs on the wing

I heard a good phrase, your ready to become a monk when it makes no difference if you become a monk or not. I'm tired of creating my life or trying to be someone interesting. Constantly trying to fill your day with little activities that are only enjoyable because your escaping reality. What if we went the other direction with our effort and embraced reality and jumped into the void so to speak. I did this from 5 to 9 o'clock yesterday and stopped making believe like I have something to do or somewhere to go. There is a real feeling of freedom in doing that I saw. It's hard but it's not complex or confusing. You become like a nobody but it feels good. I'd like to live like this but still be a lay person. It's like going camping forever.
Take care of mindfulness and mindfulness will take care of you.

So many things.
But to put in the nutshell, feel hapiness. Living in the society (even hyppie) is just craving, desire, scare.

A person who has lost interest in what the world (of sensuality, money, fame, family, etc) has to offer.

I think it could be the same reason for which Buddha became homeless.

Hello:
I think someone with good discernment regarding his future capacity to endure and find satisfaction in the training and lifestyle of a monk.
Regards.
