hardest vows to keep?

Two questions.

What do you feel in your experience is the hardest vows to keep and which ones you should always keep in check so you dont slip up?

What do the different levels of vows actually mean if you break them? Are there some that if you break automatically you lose your ordination? Or can you always restore the vows?

Here's a good book which explains it all to a layperson. https://www.accesstoinsight.org/lib/aut ... guide.html

And here's a pdf of the same thing. https://www.buddhanet.net/pdf_file/bhkkrule.pdf
I think it's available free in a proper paper book too, you can order it and they send it for the price of postage alone.

If you're thinking of becoming a monk even for a short time, you should read it.
Once you get through that you can start on the 600 pages of the Buddhist Monastic Code, covering the 227 main rules and many of the 2000-ish wrongdoings.
