Re: Student Of The Path
Newest Entry in the "Journey into Homelessness" Video series: 3 Years as a Monastic.
In this first video in a few years I go over a variety of different topics related to my monastic journey, including finding the balance between my practice and helping others, the importance of having good spiritual friends on the path, and aspects of getting older, among other aspects of the monastic path.
Thank you for the kind words

Venerable Jayasara
Worship Ven Banthe with five point touch.
I have read your first Charika. It pleasure to read a such an article. This is a candid description of a Charika. Thanks first.
In fact it remind me according to legend in Lord Buddha's day's a Dhammic procedure called Gatha Paccawatha was followed during Pindapatha. This means to keep reciting in mind the Kammathana during Pindapatha.Monks following this process are first have a mouthful of water at the exit of monastery so as not to speak with householders to avoid breaking the Kammathana. This mouthful of water was emptied on return to the monastery at monastery gate.
I would propose Venerable to write a series of articles on Sathara Sathipattana Sutta. So as to unfold the uncovered the hidden meaning of the Sutta which is invisible to Puthugana.Of course to do this this Sutta has to be study to depth at first. There was a point to propose this. That is in this Sutta the Lord Buddha made a promise that one can end the Sansaric journey in a period ranging from 7 yrs to 7 days, if one followed as guided.
