Interview for Class

Postby lakegad » Tue Feb 05, 2013 5:25 pm

Hello Everyone, I am so glad I found this forum! I am taking a World Religions Class this semester and one of our projects is to conduct and interview with someone of a different wisdom tradition. I am interested in learning more about Buddhism and I'm looking for a leader to interview. This is someone who is ordained and not just studying. Also, I can provide you with all the questions before the interview. Can anyone help me here? Thank you so much in advance for your assistance.

If you're looking for an ordained monk, your best bet would be to interview Bhikkhu Pesala, who is on here often, or perhaps Gavesako Bhikkhu. I don't know if there's a member search, but try finding them and PMing them?
Gain and loss, status and disgrace,
censure and praise, pleasure and pain:
these conditions among human beings are inconstant,
impermanent, subject to change.

Knowing this, the wise person, mindful,
ponders these changing conditions.
Desirable things don’t charm the mind,
undesirable ones bring no resistance.

His welcoming and rebelling are scattered,
gone to their end,
do not exist.
