Those who don't know any of the relevant languages would best begin with those non-Pali collections that Sutta Central has in English translation. Unfortunately owing to copyright issues with Ven. Anālayo's translations the only ones presently available are a small number by Ven. SuttaCentral.net has most of Bhikkhu Bodhi's translations online through some sort of Creative Commons License. Why wouldn't Ven Analayo choose a similar sort of license when publishing his books?

I liked this section, and couldn't help thinking of the "common folk" as activists who push identity based issues (i.e. "a multitude of wrongness"), and the "noble disciple" as the one who can see the drawbacks of such folly...
I guess the human condition hasn't radically changed in the last 2600 years.

It explains the wrongness of white supremacy and black supremacy etc. to a T.A noble disciple who is endowed with the vision of the truth gains the fruit of right comprehension (abhisamaya ). If the common folk has wrong view, that has its basis in identity view (sakkāyadiṭṭhi ), accumulates through identity view, arises through identity view, and emerges through identity view. That is, being covered by and experiencing worry and sorrow, they [still] celebrate and cherish it, call it a self, call it a living being, call it outstanding, special, and hold it to be superior.
“In this way this multitude of wrongness has all been completely given up and eradicated, removed at its root; like a plantain tree it will not arise again in the future.
I guess the human condition hasn't radically changed in the last 2600 years.

It doesn't have most of them, but only a selection that Wisdom Publications have agreed to release for this purpose.

My understanding is that they are free but that the copyright is held by that Japanese Mahayana outfit that distributes Buddhist Gideon Bibles to Asian hotels.
