Nandaka, Malaysia
Hello DhammaWheel,
I haven't posted in a couple of years (as Internet access was minimal or non-existent in the last couple of monasteries I stayed in), however I have a little more ability to post now. I'm in a Monastery called Nandaka, near Penang, Malaysia. Here are a few photos taken here (and please forgive me if they don't appear rotated properly):

Re: Miscellaneous Photos
No offense, Saengnapha, but please look at Nandaka's website, which I linked to above. The senior monk here is Bhante Dhammasubho.

No and no. I'm laying pretty low here in Penang. I did have a look at their website, however. Thanks for mentioning them. Do you have a personal connection there?

Yes, Ven. Punnaji is a teacher but more like a kalyana-mitta of mine. I have had the good fortune of knowing him for about 20 years now.
Re: Miscellaneous Photos
He's about 340 km away from me in Kuala Lampur. But I do none the less appreciate any personal references. The Buddhist World can be quite small.

Happy New Year 2018
Today we had a big event here at Nandaka. A couple hundred people came. I was the only Westerner in the whole place. A large, brass spire was installed near our Uposatha hall. A life-size, very fancy, pearlescent, white teak Buddha also got installed in the new Women's retreat center here (still under construction, didn't get photos of that), with many baskets of flower petals strewn everywhere.
I rarely take photos, however I shot some today at less awkward times. I've posted them here:
