Reading list for learning about Buddhism, especially Theravada and traditional Buddhist Meditation?

Post by SilaSamadhi »

Is there an official reading list somewhere, with all the texts recommended for studying Buddhism, Theravada and Buddhist meditation?

Thanks!

Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

Thank you, bodom!

Perhaps it makes sense to put such a list on the wiki, so it can be edited and updated as necessary?
