Could someone help with finding chanting text of anatta-lakkhana sutta?

Post by manas » Fri May 31, 2019 8:16 pm

Hello all,
I have trouble searching for things on the net sometimes, in this instance, I'd appreciate some assistance finding the pali text with the exact wording of the anatta-lakkhana sutta (pancavaggi sutta) in the version used, when it is to be chanted. Asking here will by faster than trying to find it myself, I know from previous experience. I was listening to a group of monks chanting it, and what they chanted, had a few differences, just a few extra (or not) words I sensed, anyway I was also wondering, if there's a site, where I can get a direct translation of every term, right under the pali, so I can begin to understand the meaning, while chanting it. If anyone could assist me with these, I would most appreciate it.

Just so folks know, I had eye surgery, with the eye operated on now functioning well, but the other, still blurry as. Although I can read text easily now, the disparity between the repaired left eye, and the still very blurry right one, can bring on a subtle sensation of dizziness or even a slightly disoriented feeling, at times. Hence my request for assistance, it will just be easier. Thx :)

Hi Manas, I hope you recover fast!

Thanissaro Bhikkhu's Chanting Guide is now in a variety of formats:

On-line version of the sutta: https://www.dhammatalks.org/books/Chant ... n0021.html

The extra words tht you heard may have been the three traditional introductory verses, which in some monasteries are chanted just before eva.m me suta.m.

I've got it translated word for word in order, here:

I could have sworn I made pali audio recordings for that sutta for audtip.org, can't seem to find it.
I will get around to it eventually, that's an important sutta.
private message me if you need it done sooner.

Thank you :thanks: I am just going through replies to posts, just saw this one (internet disruptions all week, thanks to the 'National Broadband Network' not functioning (for my residence), and delays to the fault being investigated, let alone fixed).
