Meaning of Akiñcanaṃ & Anādānaṃ ?

Post by Srilankaputra »

From Kappa sutta (Parayana vagga)
Akiñcanaṃ anādānaṃ etaṃ dipaṃ anāparaṃ,
Nibbānamiti taṃ brūmi jarāmaccuparikkhayaṃ.

Having nothing,
clinging to no thing:
That is the island,
there is no other.
That's Unbinding, I tell you,
the total ending of aging & death.
Much appreciate it if the pali scholars here can analyse these two words in bit more detail. :anjali:

Wish you all success in all your endeavours. Goodbye!
