Ratana Sutta chanted w/ perfect pronunciation

Post by dylanj » Fri Feb 23, 2018 10:41 pm

Born, become, arisen – made, prepared, short-lived
Bonded by decay and death – a nest for sickness, perishable
Produced by seeking nutriment – not fit to take delight in

Departure from this is peaceful – beyond reasoning and enduring
Unborn, unarisen – free from sorrow and stain
Ceasing of all factors of suffering – stilling of all preparations is bliss

etena sacca vajjena dukkhā vūpa samentu te
etena sacca vajjena bhayā vūpa samentu te
etena sacca vajjena rogā vūpa samentu te

by this truth may your sufferings be pacified
by this truth may your fears be pacified
by this truth may your illnesses be pacified
Born, become, arisen – made, prepared, short-lived
Bonded by decay and death – a nest for sickness, perishable
Produced by seeking nutriment – not fit to take delight in

Departure from this is peaceful – beyond reasoning and enduring
Unborn, unarisen – free from sorrow and stain

With the arrival of the Master, there were torrential rains which swept away the putrefying corpses. The atmosphere became purified, the city was clean.
