ṭhitāva

Post by Coëmgenu »

Greetings all!

What does the word "ṭhitāva" mean in this context:
ṭhitāva sā dhātu dhammaṭṭhitatā dhammaniyāmatā idappaccayatā
When I hover over the word on SuttaCentral it gives me a "?". Is this word used to signify a question or is its definition simply missing?
What is the Uncreated?
Sublime & free, what is that obscured Eternity?
It is the Undying, the Bright, the Isle.
It is an Ocean, a Secret: Reality.
Both life and oblivion, it is Nirvāṇa.

It seems to be ṭhita+eva

ṭhita: stood; stayed; stationary; immovable; one who stays

BB: persists
AT: stands
