"He, the Blessed One, is indeed the Noble Lord, the Perfectly Enlightened One;
He is impeccable in conduct and understanding, the Serene One, the Knower of the Worlds;
He trains perfectly those who wish to be trained; he is Teacher of gods and men; he is Awake and Holy. "

Apparent here and now, timeless, encouraging investigation,
Leading to liberation, to be experienced individually by the wise. "

Interesting little story - many thanks.
I particularly like this lapidary understatement:

None go so far to claim that Winston Churchill was a Buddhist

Re: Winston Churchill & The Buddha
Mihai Eminescu, the famous romanian poet, the "last romantic", a person witch has statues and clubs in many countries in europe was a buddhist. I feel very sad for him because as genius as he clearly was, he was way worse than me in the 2 aspects that interested him most in his life: buddhism and love. He understood little about buddhism because resources were not avaliable at the time. He only read some german books about buddhism, not the best in the world. In terms of love he was, as we say, "a parrot" lol. He knew absolutaly nothing about love and was manipulated by his girlfriend like a luxury escort would manipulate a highschooler. I really feel sad that such a genius with a very good hearth was worese than me in regards to what he wanted to know most only because he did not have internet...
