A poem of thanks

Post by manas » Tue Aug 12, 2014 9:14 pm

Stormclouds that threaten to tear me apart: 'not mine'.
Feeling rejected and lonely at heart: 'not mine'.
Bright, fleeting joys that land on my shoulder: 'not mine'.
Distressing thoughts that crush like a boulder: 'not mine'.
Such fortune to know the false from the true
Sakyan Sage, where would I be, without you?
"With regard to internal factors, I don't envision any other single factor like appropriate attention as doing so much for a monk in training, who has not attained the goal but remains intent on the unsurpassed safety from bondage. A monk who attends appropriately abandons what is unskillful and develops what is skillful."

Good poem!
Did you write it?
“As the lamp consumes oil, the path realises Nibbana”
