Dhammapada, Chap. 15 "Happiness", v. 200.
Due to the nature of 'piti' (rapture) as a change in the mode of energy from striving to initial attainment, it always implies that effort has previously been applied.

"Feeding on rapture" pītibhakkha by itself is also found in three of the Dīgha Nikāya suttas: the Brahmajāla, Pāthika, and Aggañña.
On retreat and offline May 22 - July 10.

„Sedem solitariam, cubitum solitarium
solitarius colens non segnis,
solitarius semet ipse domans
in sylva extrema delectatus sit.“

(Dhammapada 305. tr. Viggo Fausbøll. 1855)
