Sorry for the irrelevant topic I'm gonna post, I am just curious is there monks/teachers is here in the forum posting and answering?

Please do tell that you are an ordained monk who surf the net, accessing buddhism forum and posting/answering.

I thought that monks usually life in a life where simplicity is centered? But in a monastery, venerables go use a computer freely? I meant, monks have personal computers?

They have a monastic shared computer or layfolks donate them. I have donated older equipment before, so they can communicate with people like me who do not have the fortune to be able to participate with the Sangha in another way. It is incredibly helpful, and is more valuable to the world. I think while simplicity is important, monks are meant to live in a synergy with laypeople by helping us practice and do Dana. They are here for the benefit of all of us, so I am grateful. Why? Do you think Monks are meant to isolate themselves from the world rather than confronting it with far more directness than laypeople?

They don't use it for entertainment (surfing online music video, TV show, and etc.).
Many of them utitilze computer to spread Dhamma.
Nothing wrong with keeping up with communication technology.
What we should worry about is the spread of sham/fake Dhamma that distract people from the Pali Canon, not computer or other modern technology.
As long as they stick to the true Dhamma, it's good.

I think it's brilliant. I am lucky to have met our resident Bhikkhus and Bhikkhunis here. It has completely confirmed my faith in the Sangha, and was one of the barriers of doubt I had that barred me from stream-entry. With that gone, I feel one more step closer. I can't thank the Venerables here enough.

In case of Dhammawheel, Bhikkhu Samahita's post "Daily Dhamma drops from Ceylon" is excellent online Dhamma post.
Nothing wrong with the utilizing communication technology.
It is sham/fake Dhamma we shoud worry about not the technology itself.
