Not everything must be inside the context. As we open up our mind and see things, there's much answer than inside the sutta. If were to record what the Buddha said, in books. It would filled up the whole library. The Tripitaka is just 47volumes. I am saying that Tripitaka describe in things which is more to the doctrine of the Buddha, guides you on the journey. Others like the kammic effect and so, is not all compound inside the suttas.
So in other words, you have no evidence. This is just coming from you and, from what I gather from above quote, you think its something the Buddha would have taught. Doesnt wash sorry. If your going to say something as ridiculous as you have done, you need to provide a more firm argument.

I know that power plays an important role in love and sex, true.

But how so in porns?
The indications are Anna that when a male views hetero porn there is of course sexual arousal, but that seems strongly connected with having power...i.e. he can view them when he wants.... he is controlling the person filmed or photographed. He sees her, but he is hidden from her. She is therefore subservient.

Wouldnt this apply to gay porn as well?

Btw´, if I may a small sideremark.

Yesterday, 23 year old Cora died in Germany after her 6 th plastic surgery to get bigger silicone implantates.

She was wellknown as an Ex Big Brother "inmate".

She worked in the porn industry...

During the operation, her heart stopped beating and her brain was without oxygen for 15 minutes.

After reanimation she stayed comatose, due to brain damage. Over the past days she had fevers and epileptic seizures.

I can't help but feel compassion for her, who is-was- a curious mix of active victim of the porn industry.

A husband is mourning her, saying, he found her beautiful just the way she was... but she felt she needed more.

Unlike real life the person filmed or photographed has no choice. She cannot reject or hide or walk away. She is captured and vulnerable to the gaze of the viewer.
Just to remove any doubt. Pornography itself is not craving. The viewing of pornography is based on craving.

The person filmed or photographed of course, at any rate in most cases, has the choice of whether to be photographed or not.

A moot point point Annatar..often they are addicted to various substances, or in other financially straightened situations. The suicide rate among porn people is phenomenal.

I wonder whether women might be more gifted than men for spiritual life.
I seen 3 reasons why this would be the case:
1°) They seem more attracted to anything spiritual
2°) They seem to know their inner life and their emotions better
3°) They seem to have less sexual desire (which is not a small obstacle)

Now, it's true that they seem to have stronger emotions, or to put it another way, strong kleshas. It's also a fact that they tend to suffer of depression twice as men.

What do you think?
I think you are confusing the cultural gender role with actual women. Women are as screwed up as men, just act it out less overtly because thats the culturally acceptable way.

Why is emotionality considered a plus? I don't think it is. Rationality is a greater strength. Emotions tend toward extremes, not balance. Rationality must govern ahead of emotional concerns. Emotions are the flavor, too easily indulged in and misleading...while rational persuit of truth brings a balance between mind and emotion, keeping emotion in its place. Emotions should not be allowed to reign free.

That you are making some grand generalizations. Your third reason, for instance, is a myth that has fallen out of favor with modern psychology. Women crave sex just as much as men do, it has just been a cultural taboo for them to express that desire. In fact, there are quite a few women in my life who have a much stronger libido than I do.

Wow, I guess that makes me an outlier, I've got ZERO desire for any sexual contact.

As for the whole line of generalizations in the OP, I would say IF women conformed to these stereotypes (they don't), they'd be perhaps easier suited for new age nonsense, but not the spiritual life as dictated by the Buddha. Speaking as a woman from the point of view on the doctrine I would say the spiritual life is pretty easy for me in theory, but not because I'm a woman, but because of my ability to understand and practice what the Buddha has taught. It's all very clear, purifying, and empowering. Now speaking as a woman holistically about the discipline, I will say that it's very difficult for women in general to practice the discipline, not because they are women, but because of what it takes to be a serious practitioner. It takes hardcore moral and mental discernment that escapes most people as a whole. Humans are creatures of habits and unintentionally do a lot of stupid things that try to counter change with their full effort. Women are certainly no exception to the rule, and I would say because of all the expectations put upon women, it's much more difficult to practice as opposed to men.

For example, for one, in our culture women are objectified in a manner that places their marketability both socially and literally on their physical appearance. This means that in order to survive in the worldly stage of affairs most ladies prioritize their looks and have to do a lot more to try and slow the flow of time which is counterproductive in the spiritual life. For men marketability both socially and literally is mostly put on their intellectual capacity, so naturally men are going to feel more pressure to seek intellectual mediums putting more access to spiritual matters in their hands. Then there's the problem of day-to-day life ritual, women and men are expected to behave in different manners. Women are expected to behave more submissively to uphold the status quo which leaves them more vulnerable to doing immoral things merely because "authority is law" and "Conformity is key". These are things that most of us, speaking as a woman and as a Buddhist, have to get out of our system before we step into the spiritual life. So as a female I would say I make a terrible girl in our society, but I'm a darned good practitioner of the Buddha Dhamma.
